A synthesis of the implementation of soft solutions for coastal protection and the results of monitoring in the MPA of Saint-Louis: March 2019-December 2020 has just been produced. It reports on the work carried out within the framework of the WACA FFEM project “Monitoring of coastal risks and soft solutions in Benin, Senegal and Togo”, and in particular on developments such as windbreaks (typhavelles) and reforestation (Casuarina equisetifolia plantations) that have been carried out to fix the sand and promote dune reconstitution, thus reducing exposure to coastal risks. > Download the report
